Experience

KPMG (as administrators) Leading a firm-wide team of 19 advising on the pre-packed sale of the business and assets of the Worldstores group to Dunelm Group Plc. The sale included the Worldstores operation, Kiddicare and Achica e-commerce businesses.
Alix Partners Acting on the purchase of the Dutch and German parts of the Ben Sherman business from administrators and leading a team from the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
PWC (as administrators) Advising the administrators of an aircraft business on various issues including the agreement of a consignment agreement to keep the business trading until it was sold. The next stage is investigation of the directors' conduct.
A real estate fund mezzanine lender Advising on possible enforcement strategies in respect of a group of companies and partnerships including various complex legal issues and defending an injunction application restraining enforcement of security
RSM (as adminstrators) Acting for administrators of a company with branches in the US, Germany and Taiwan distributing micro-inverters for solar panel units, which was originally due to on a sale, liaising with the Chapter 7 US trustee and working with restructuring colleagues in Germany and dealing with the complex issues arising out of a voluminous amount of creditor warranty claims.
Senior creditor to a substantial suburban homes group Advising on the quasi-contentious restructuring of various obligor vehicles. The transaction was important as part of a wider group reorganisation to facilitate the securitisation of an underlying portfolio of over 1,000 residential properties with linked mortgage products.
Grant Thornton (as administrators) Acting for the administrators of a nursing home group with 60 homes across the country, dealing with the administration of its main tenant, Southern Cross, initially the lending syndicate and then various distressed debt funds and then the restructuring and sale of the homes with stapled debt.
Purchaser Acting for the purchaser of intellectual property for an app competitor to WhatsApp from administrators at Grant Thornton.
